This year is a very special year for Sagola as we celebrate our 65th anniversary. 65 years ago, in 1955, Alejandro Sanchez Larrauri, founded our company.
Today, after 65 years in business, Sagola still has very ambitious strategic expansion plans. Given the recognition of our products worldwide, whilst there is significant opportunity, our ability to execute our expansion plans by ourselves is limited.
We inform you that over the last few months, we have been in discussions with a UK partner who we believe will fully support us and help us achieve our global expansion plans.
We are therefore today informing you that, as from this week, Sagola SA is now part of the Elcometer Family.
Based out of the United Kingdom, Elcometer is also a family business and has been owned by the Sellars family for seven generations. Starting out in the 19th Century as a chemical company, Elcometer – whose headquarters are in Manchester, UK – has become one of the world leaders in the design, manufacture and supply of equipment to the coatings and non-destructive test (NDT) industries.
Elcometer is based in Manchester UK and exports over 90% of the products they manufacture through its offices in France, Germany, Japan, The Netherlands, Singapore, UAE and the USA and its global distribution network which covers over 170 countries around the World.
Just like Sagola, Elcometer’s company philosophy is to integrate quality into all aspects of the products they design and build and they are highly conscious of the environment around us all. Elcometer’s commitment is reflected in their ISO 9001 and 14001 Quality and Environmental accreditations.
Elcometer know that the Sagola brand is incredibly strong and is well known - particularly in the automotive and industrial refinishing sectors, and it is imperative for Elcometer that we at Sagola continue to sell to our strengths under the Sagola brand, with the Sagola team and with the Sagola distribution network leading the way.
Both companies have been keen to make sure that all of the Sagola team remains and it is our hope that with your help, we can grow Sagola around the World.
